Circle of Prayer meets every Saturday morning at 9 am in the Chapel. The Circle of Prayer is a relaxed time of prayer with others. The hope is that, in a supportive and safe place, we may pray silently gather and offer up our prayers to God. We come to be mentored in our own prayer and to ground our entire community in prayer.

A Prayer Chain of committed people prays for the immediate needs of those in our community. Those who serve on the prayer chain are assigned a day of the week on which they receive prayer requests. Each chain is to pray the entire week for their requests.

Personal Intercessors are people with the specific gift of praying for others. When someone has a long-term prayer need (such as an illness or difficult circumstance) we try to assign him or her a personal intercessor to hold that person in prayer each day.  Personal Intercessors also phone every week or two to ascertain what current concerns and prayer needs may be.

Prayer Teams are often assigned to someone who has an acute need for healing. These small teams meet regularly with the person to whom they have been assigned. They listen empathetically and pray for healing in their visit.

Prayer Partners is ministry where each Sunday after worship, selected members of Prayer Partners are available to pray with those who have a special prayer need. The goal is to spend a few minutes listening and helping bring requests to God.  If you are interested in this ministry, contact Pastor Greg: g.bouvier@sheridanlutheran.org
