New Member Orientation sessions are held every other month from 2:00-4:30 p.m. on designated Sunday afternoons. This single meeting is an opportunity to explore where you are in your "faith journey." In addition, you will learn more about Sheridan, our ministries and how they may deepen the faith, hope and joy that is yours in Jesus Christ. Participating in the New Member Orientation is not a commitment to join Sheridan; that decision is entirely yours at the end of the session.
The emphasis in membership at Sheridan is discipleship. Through the new member process, we help each person discover their spiritual gifts, and then use these gifts in ministry. We know of no greater joy than serving our Lord.
New members are received into membership at either the Saturday 5:30 pm or Sunday 11:00 am worship service on the following weekend. A Fellowship luncheon for new members, their families and a sponsoring individual or family is held on Sunday at noon following 11:00 am Sunday worship service.
As you reflect on your journey with Christ, we ask that you consider where our Lord is leading you. We keep in our prayers all those who are considering membership. As you consider membership at Sheridan we pray for you, asking that our Lord guide you to a place where you experience His presence and find His peace.
