Youth

All of Sheridan's Ministry for Children, Youth and Families is designed to pass on God's story to each child of God, through worship, relationships and active learning, equipping all to live as disciples of Christ.

Sheridan Lutheran Youth Ministry focuses on building a caring community of teenagers who love God and love each other. We provide various large group and small group activities designed to deepen and challenge faith and to create fellowship within the Body of Christ. However, the strength of our ministry lies in the personal relationships that exist between youth and leaders. A committed group of volunteer leaders seeks to be actively involved in the lives of every youth, and all activities are designed with the intent to strengthen these relationships. We hope that through the community, faith will grow and youth and their leaders will all fall more in love with Jesus Christ.

Sheridan Lutheran Youth is committed to:

Join Us

Sundays

9:45–10:45 am, Conference Room. Class for middle school youth (Ignite) designed for discovery and discussion of scripture and issues of faith.

6-7:30 pm, Family Life Center. Large group meetings designed for Sr. High students (FLAME) to create community and to stir interest in the faith with praise and worship, Bible study, free food, skits/dramas, games and real discussion on real issues.

Wednesdays

6-7:30 pm, Worship Center. Confirmation. Weekly large group and small group learning time designed to grow individually and a community faith.

Retreats

Fall and spring retreats for middle school and high school groups in exciting locations designed to allow more time for fellowship and reflection on faith.

Missions

Annual mission trips for middle school and high school. Past trips have included Idaho, New Orleans, Canada, Denver and Chicago.
