Faith Stepping Stones

Sheridan’s Faith Stepping Stones Series

All classes start at 9:30am

We celebrate faith milestones in each child’s life beginning with Baptism and going through High School graduation. These Faith Stepping Stones provide a way for Sheridan to partner with parents, step-parents and grandparents in bringing children up in the Christian faith. All workshops through 5th grade are for parents and children together and include interactive Prayer Stations related to the topic for parents and children to do together, as well as a Keepsake Craft. If your child missed a workshop in a previous year, they are welcome to make it up during this year.

Baptism

Three Year Olds- The Journey Begins : Sat., Sept. 8, 2012 Entrance into Sunday School (includes Sunday School open house and blessing service with presentation of Preschool Bible on Saturday prior to Kick-Off Sunday)

Kindergarten — Seasons of the Church Year : Sat., Feb. 23, 2013 (I’m a Lutheran coloring book)

1st Grade — The Lord’s Prayer - Sat., Jan. 26, 2013 (Lord’s Prayer Pillowcase)

2nd Grade — The Ten Commandments: Sat., Feb. 2, 2013 (Mezuzah)

3rd Grade — What’s in our New Bibles : Sat., Oct. 6, 2012 (Bible bookmark)
*Bible presentation at 11:00am worship on October 7

4th Grade — Baptized for Life: March 2, 2013 (Baptismal Banner)

5th Grade — Preparing for Holy Communion: Sat., March 23, 2013 and Maundy Thursday, March 28, 2013 (painted candle votive cups)

Confirmation - Students are confirmed in the spring of their 8th grade year

12th grade — Graduation from High School Celebration in May prior to graduation

All ages- Preparing for Holy Communion: Wed., October 23, 2012 & Sat., March 23, 2013
