Infant & Toddler
Easter Sunday School for Two’s- March 21 and 28 @9:45am Room 104
Children age 2 and 3 but not yet in Sunday School are invited to explore the Easter story along with their parents at both of these special introductory Sunday School classes. Please register your little one for these interactive classes by Thursday, March 18 with Kathy Paisley.
Quiet Room & Nursery
Children are welcome in all of our worship services! There are Storybags available for children to use during services. These bags contain a storybook, crayons, a children's worship bulletin and a quiet snack. But if wiggles and restlessness get the best of you and your little one, a Quiet Room is located right outside the Worship Center. There are windows to view the sanctuary and audio to hear the worship service while comforting your child. We also have a Nursery available during most regular worship services and education classes.
Babies in Christ
Babies in Christ Ministry for parents and newborns offers a bridge for each family to connect with our church family. We provide encouragement to new parents during this very sacred time. A mentor is assigned to provide support and prayer for you and your baby. Your mentor also hosts your family at church on your baby’s Baptism Day. If you are looking forward to the birth of a child in the near future or have recently given birth to a baby and are looking forward to the baptism of that child, please contact the church office at info@sheridanlutheran.org to become connected with a Babies in Christ Mentor.
What about Baptismal Sponsors?
Baptismal sponsors play a very important role in your child's faith life. Before choosing sponsors for your child, you are encouraged to contact your family and friends who are worshiping, active Christians. When asking a person or a couple to sponsor your child, consider the commitment involved in baptismal sponsorship. A sponsor should pray regularly for your child, remember their baptismal birthday, be a model of love, care, and Christ-like kindness, and see that your child is brought up in the Christian faith at home and within the Christian community.
