Women's Activities

Sheridan’s women’s activities are designed to Encourage the hearts and minds of women to know, love and serve God. Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Sheridan’s Women’s Ministries Team is dedicated to nurturing each woman's relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ through spiritual growth, service, and fellowship. The goal is to encourage you to become involved in Bible studies that allow you to understand your calling to know Jesus, love God and others, share your faith with your family and friends and care for each other.

New Fall Bible Study: To Live is Christ

Every other Thursday, 9:30 am or 7pm, beginning September 9

Join us this Fall on a in-depth journey into the life and heart of Paul the apostle.  Along the way we will get to know the "Apostle to the Gentiles" in a new way-how he formed close friendships with both men and women and how he served faithfully and loved heartily.  We will also gain an appreciation of servanthood.  More than any other person, Paul provides us an example of sold-out servanthood.  He understood what it means to die daily, crucified with Christ. This 10 part series will be offered for both morning and evening study groups. Workbooks are $15.  Contact Kathy Paisley to enroll and reserve a book.

New Fall Bible Study: Christ in Genesis 3: The God of the Nation

This 9 week Stonecroft women's study provides faith building examples of God's work in the life of Joseph and the nation of Israel. At the center of the dramatic story of Joseph is a man of unshakeable faith and integrity whom God used to preserve a nation. The example of his life and trust in God-even in the most difficult circumstances-encourages us as we face the drama of our own lives today. This class will begin Wednesday, September 15 at 9:15am and will meet weekly. It will be facilitated by Marilyn Borchardt,.  Study books are $6. Contact Kathy Paisley in the church office with any questions.

Fall Book Discussion: The Tortilla Curtain

The Tortilla Curtain by T.C. Boyle has been selected for the Fall Book Discussion.   This fascinating novel about two couples from different spectrums of society whose paths accidentally cross, is also about middle class values, illegal immigration, poverty and environmental issues.  Read the book and join in on the discussion on Wednesday, October 13, at 6:30pm in the Conference Room.  A copy of the book is available in the office for $11.00. Contact Kathy Paisley in the church office with any questions.
