Women's Activities

Sheridan’s women’s activities are designed to Encourage the hearts and minds of women to know, love and serve God.

Sheridan’s Women’s Ministries Team is dedicated to nurturing each woman's relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ through spiritual growth, service, and fellowship. The goal is to encourage you to become involved in Bible studies that allow you to understand your calling to know Jesus, love God and others, share your faith with your family and friends and care for each other.

Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

New Women's Bible Study starting March 4, 9:30am, room 111

Jesus The One and Only is our new Thursday morning Bible study for women.   This  study, written by Beth Moore, will examine the life of Jesus based on the book of Luke.  Get to know Jesus intimately as though you had walked with Him during His days of earthly ministry. This 11-week, in-depth study includes personal assignments and  group sessions and meets every other week.  Workbooks are available for $15.00. Contact Kathy Paisley for more information.

Palm Sunday Bake Sale, March 27, 28 after services in the Great Hall

Donations of baked goods are welcome for this annual event.  Items will be sold on a free-will donation basis so no pricing is necessary.  The Bake Sale is being sponsored by The Women’s Ministry Team and money raised will go to support the 2011 Women’s Retreat and other women’s ministry events. Palm Sunday and Easter Decorating, March 27 & April 3 at noon

If decorating is your gift and you have a heart for beautifying our worship space, come share you talents to help decorate the Worship Center for Palm Sunday or Easter. Contact Kathy Paisley for more information.

Memorial Easter Lilies

If you would be interested in purchasing an Easter Lily in remembrance of a loved one or in celebration of God’s grace in your life, stop by the Activities Center to pick up a form or download one at the bottom of this page. Deadline to purchase lilies is Monday, March 29.

The Book Discussion Group has selected their next book "The Middle of Everywhere" by Mary Pipher.  The next gathering is Wednesday, April 28, at 6:30 in the Conference Room. Everyone is welcome.
