Small Group Ministry

“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:46-47)

Small groups connect all members of Sheridan to help them find spiritual maturity in Christ. It is our goal that everyone has the opportunity to be known and cared for in an interactive group and to find their niche in ministry.

Sheridan’s Sojourner Small Group Ministry connects people as God intends in small life-giving communities. Members of small groups encourage and support each other through the bonds of Christian friendship, growing together spiritually through Bible study and prayer and serving together in the spirit of mission.

Sheridan’s various small groups meet every day at varying times both at church and in homes of members. Sheridan’s goal is to launch new groups for those who would like to participate, especially for new and recent members. Through small groups you are connected with people of similar interests. Those interests may be task oriented, Bible study interest, for prayer, fellowship, caring support or accountability. A small group provides an opportunity for fellowship in a community of Christian love. Small groups help individuals to "grow up" as a Christian and to discover and learn to use their spiritual gifts.
