Habitat for Humanity - Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Building Hope, Building Homes 2010 Project.
August 23rd update: This year's Thrivent Builds house is completed and will be turned over to the new owners (i.e. Semira and family) Sunday, August 29th at 1:30 at 2528 NW 4th Street. Please come join the celebration.
Congratulations to the family and to all who helped build this year's house.
Also, we are hoping to have support from Thrivent for another build in 2011, but it depends how Thrivent members direct the charitable funds allocated to them by Thrivent. If you are a Thrivent member, please remember to log on to their web site and direct your funds. If you have questions regarding this process, please contact the local Thrivent Office.

This year we are helping build the twelfth Thrivent Builds - Habitat House on site at 2528 NW 4th Street.
The family partnering to build the home is be Semira Osman and her two children, Samson (14) and Aida (13). Semira, a single mother, gives her time and energy helping disadvantaged children at her job every day. She has a special needs son of her own and is currently living in sub-standard and inadequate housing.
The cost of construction is reduced through Thrivent Funds, donations by local Lutheran Churches and donations of labor and material. The remainder of cost will be assumed by Semira via a zero interest mortgage. Through congregational donations, the Sheridan Lutheran Church is pledging $5000 to this build.
Your prayers, cash, lunches and labor in support of this project will be gratefully accepted.
Questions ???: Please email Dean Christensen, Thrivent Builds Coordinator @ dchristensen10@neb.rr.com or call the local Habitat Office at 477-9184.
