Local Outreach

We are called to love God and love our neighbor. At Sheridan our mission statement includes loving deeply and sharing abundantly. As we reach out to others in our community we grow in our own faith. We develop new relationships with others in our community as we share the love of Christ with our community.

You will broaden your horizons as you realize the many struggles and joys of the families in the Lincoln community. Lincoln sometimes seems to hide our poverty but thousands of families struggle for basic food and shelter. Expect to grow in your faith and grow closer to others as you share in helping to feed the hungry, care for the poor, and simply live together as the body of Christ. This is where we live out our faith – outside the walls of our church.
