In-Kind Donation Information

Are you looking to clean out your closets and put some unused items to good use? Instead of throwing it all away consider giving as in-kind donations. Below is a list of all area agencies who accept in-kind donations and details on how to bring your donations to these partners. Please note that donations are to be taken directly to a mission partner drop-off location unless otherwise noted.

Barnabas Project

The Barnabas Project in Belmont accepts donations of clothing, shoes, coats, books and useful household items and toys.  We especially need children's clothing, casual men's clothing, jeans, bedding and extra-large clothing for men and women.  In the summer we need children's books.  In the fall, we need winter coats and boots for children.  In the winter we collect gifts for grandparents to give for Christmas.  Donations can be brought directly to the Barnabas Project located in the Belmont Shopping Center at 11th and Cornhusker Highway on Saturdays between 9 AM and 3 PM.  Donations can be delivered to the back door on the west side of our building, but please come to the front door first.  A receipt is available.  For more information, contact Saundra Frerichs at saundraf@gmail.com.

Bridges of Hope (Formerly Bridge Prison Ministry)

Items needed include: men's clothing (especially jeans, work clothes), coats, shoes. new boxer shorts and socks, belts and billfolds; personal care items like deoderant, toothpaste, soap and smaller containers of liquid laundry detergent; dishes, silverware, glassware, cookware, small appliances including microwave ovens, cable ready televisions and vacuum cleaners; furniture in good usable condition like sofas, chairs, end tables, smaller dining room tables and chairs, lamps, rugs; bath towels, wash cloths, dish towels, sheets and blankets of various sizes  We do not take hideabeds and console TVs.  The first apartments that the men rent do not have a lot of room and are often walk-up units so bulky furniture is difficult to manage on the stairs. Think of everything you might need to furnish a small apartment. That is what is needed. Larger sizes in men's clothing are especially appreciated.

Donations can be taken to the Bridges of Hope warehouse at 3107 South 6th Street, Ste 107.  Please contact Bridges of Hope at 402-420-5696 for more information on arranging a furniture donation.

A box for depositing smaller donations like clothing is located inside Sheridan by the music room at the south end of the hallway in the office wing.
