Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study Learn more about the prophecies in the Bible by joining the Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study. This group is studying Isaiah which contains some of the most beautiful imagery and poetry in the Old Testament. The study moves slowly taking time for us to ponder its meaning for our own lives. You do not need to be a Bible scholar to join the group; in fact, we want people who like a good discussion and have many questions about what the passages mean in our daily life. Please join us for lively conversation in a small group setting as we learn and study God’s truths and uncover the meaning of His word for us in today’s world! Bring your Bible. Sundays at 9:45 a.m. in Kathy Paisley’s office. Led by Julie Johnson.

Women
Beth Moore Studies Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent. This is a detailed 7 session study of Psalms 120–134. It will engage women in unique opportunities for personal reflection and worship while exploring the background/writer of each psalm, the majority of which were written by David. Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 psalms model how study participants can voice their own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us. Study begins April 10 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and will continue on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays through July 10. Contact Kathy Paisley to enroll in this in-depth Bible study. Workbooks will be available to purchase for $13.00.

National Lutheran Men’s Gathering to be in Omaha in ’08 One of planned events for Sheridan’s Men’s Ministry in 2008 is the National Lutheran Men’s Gathering to be held at the Quest Center in Omaha. We are hoping to have a number of men from Sheridan and surrounding churches take part in this event and help with duties in facilitating as well.
"Coming of Age", the 2008 Lutheran Men's Gathering will take place August 1 to 3, 2008 at the Omaha(NE) Hilton and Qwest Center. This theme, “Coming of Age”, had a twofold meaning. One has to do with Lutheran Men in Mission’s emphasis on ministry with young men and the opportunities afforded at this event for men to build inter-generational relationships. The other has to do with this ministry maturing and standing on its own: coming of age. Featured speakers will include: Tom Osborne; Coming of Age authors David Anderson and Paul Hill; as well as Larry Clark, Ernie Hinojosa and others. Gathering musicians will include: Dakota Road and Peter Mayer. (A popular musician in his solo career, Peter Mayer is also lead guitarist for Jimmy Buffett’s band). Check out our website and watch for more information.
Sunday Morning Men's Bible Study meets each Sunday from 8:30 to 9:30 am in the conference room. The Master Builders Bible for Men is the resource for our study of COMING HOME: Pilgrims on Their Way Back. Men of all ages are welcome to join us in our study and discussion. Call Phil Wittig at 261-8489 for additional information.

Education Mission Statement
The Mission and Vision of Sheridan's Education Ministries is to equip all of God's children, youth and adults to grow in, share and celebrate the life-long journey of maturing faith as we grow together in God's grace. Our education ministries aim to help persons at different ages and stages consider their calling and role in passing on the faith to others. The goal of many of Sheridan's programs is also to provide for opportunities for mission, outreach and service as multiple generations work and serve hand in hand together. |
