O Wind of the Spirit, you are blowing powerfully in our church and in each of our lives. As we seek to follow where you lead us, empower us to ride the waves of opportunity that you are sending our way. Most especially, be with us as you send us out into our community to share Christ’s love and serve those in need. We pray this is Jesus’ name. Amen.

What are some things that you and others are tempted to worship and idolize in our modern world?

What is one concrete thing that you can do within the next few days to serve a person in need in our community?

The Spirit is sending each one of us out to share Jesus’ love with someone who may not know him. To whom do you feel the Spirit sending you?

Blessing

Make the sign of the cross on the forehead of each member of your family as you bless them and say:

“May the Spirit of Jesus empower you to share his love

and serve someone in need within our community.”
